CURRICULUM
The British School New Delhi springs the student a helpful, yet challenging learning setting. Here, too, the public welcomes children from different populations and beliefs. We cultivate students who are logically curious, creative, respectful, caring, sharp young adults, mindful of their accountability to the community and their situation. Parents are fortified to work in company with the school and support it in its mission of repeated improvement. The Secondary School Curriculum (11-18 years of age) is planned to ensure that all students obtain a broad, balanced and clearly spoken learning entitlement, which is intelligible within each key stage, as well as being liberal and continuous in nature, structure upon the basics laid during the Primary school. The British School New Delhi secondary is planned through three key stages:Key Stage 3- Years 7, 8 and 9 (11-14 Years)
Key Stage 4- Years 10 &11 (15-16 years)
Key Stage 5- Years 12 & 13 (16-18 years)
The British School New Delhi Student’s crossways all key stages obtain a range of learning involvements, delivered mainly through outdated subjects, in the following, five broad curriculum areas:
1. Artistic & Execution Arts, Physical Education and Sports – counting Art & Design, Music, Drama and Physical Education.
2. Human & Social – including Geography, History Economics, Business Studies, Environmental Management and Psychology
3. Language and Literature – including English Language and Works as well as the Modern foreign languages French and Spanish, and Hindi.
4. Mathematical and Computer Studies – including Mathematics and ICT.
Scientific – in which students follow a combined science course in Key Stage 3 that prepares them for all of the three sciences offered at Key Stages 4 and 5
5. Personal, Social and Health Education – is offered across Key Stages 3 and 4 and through a contextualized program me which is planned to meet the needs of young youths. The programme is taught by form teachers and when required, by outside specialists
