The British School New Delhi English as Additional Language (EAL)

English as Additional Language (EAL)

The British School New Delhi Being an international school, not all of the children who come to our school have English as a first language. We trust that this must not be a barrier to their instructive growth and we so cater to the multi-dimensional features of English language skills (listening, speaking, reading and writing) and provide Literateness Support, English as an Extra Language Support (EAL), Cross-Curricular Provision and a Reading Programmer to the EAL students to help recover their English skill level.

The British School New Delhi We work carefully with the normal classroom teachers to screen each student’s level of improved skill in English, so that their needs for full addition into the regular classroom are repeatedly assessed. As part of our complete approach, our aim is always to return the students to the normal classroom situation as soon as they may advantage from it.
