It is understood that the student will avail the bus service till such time as a withdrawal notice in writing is submitted to the above office.

School Transport

The British School New Delhi dedicated to reducing its carbon footprint and inspires its students to use the bus facility on offer.

The school has six air-conditioned buses now and runs a bus service to most South Delhi areas and Gurgaon (NCR) areas. The steering of the buses is dependent upon demand in sure areas and is run on a no-profit-no-loss basis. Bus fees are composed per term and bus amenities are available to all students from Year 2 onwards. The British School New Delhi students are always escorted by an attendant in the bus. Buses normally depart ten minutes after school gets over. It might be useful to note that primary students who avail of an afternoon activity daily will not be able to use the bus service. They should try for actions on Mondays and Wednesdays when the buses depart at 3.30 pm.

The British school New Delhi has an elective meal plan involuntary and hot eats are served during the main break. The meal plan program me is open to students from Years 1 to 13. While the programmer is elective, it is optional for hot lunches, which are balanced and healthful. The meals provision is subcontracted to a catering company called ‘United Chefs' and worked by Mr Sunil Chauhan and his team.

The British school New Delhi meal plan delivery was started in 2005 when the school day was lengthy by an hour, to offer a suitable and ‘’value for money’’ other to packed lunches or kiosk snacks. By offering a variety of choices, it eases healthy eating options and reinforces healthy eating messages providing in the classroom. Secondary students need to buy exact notebooks from the school notepaper shop which is located within the school buildings. The shop is open from 9 am to 3 pm, Monday to Friday on all school days. A small book credit is kept by the school against books not repaid when a student leaves.

Stationery for primary students is also if by The British school New Delhi  though each student needs to bring his/her own pens, writes and coloring materials.

When a student withdraws from school, a permission is required from the text book section safeguarding that all text books have been returned.

The British School New Delhi All students from Nursery up to Year 11 are required to wear a uniform.

- There are dissimilar dresses for summer and winter for Primary and Secondary students and there are distinct uniforms for daily wear and PE.

- Years 12 and 13 (IB students) have no unvarying but a dress code. In Term 4, dresses are on sale at the school from 16 March 2015 as per specifics below:

The British School New Delhi Sports Programme has become an essential part of the after school action enhancement offer, allowing students to grow their skills and tactics in both separate and team sports. Our programme has a ‘Sports for All’ policy and all aptitudes are welcome. So whether a student wants to improve their skills or signify their school with pride in inter school rivalry this is for them.

The British School New Delhi Schedule Our schedule is available on our main school’s sport almanac and is reliant on on sport and age range. The sports doings run from Monday to Thursday after school and with modest games/extended exercise on a Saturday morning. Each activity will have a smallest of students to run the real team sessions, but has no maximum limit.

After School Activities Programme (Secondary School)

The British School New Delhi After School Doings Programme at The British School forms a part of an improvement programme to give students the chance to participate in activities that spread their learning. This programme is aimed at communicating new skills, ornamental existing talent and affording students the occasion to work with experts outside the normal curriculum.

Schedule.
The British School New Delhi After school Actions are open to Year Groups 7 to 13. Activity meetings are arranged after school from 2.45 to 3.45 pm, on Tuesdays and Thursdays during the current theoretical year. Each activity will be showed only if there is a minimum ‘take-up’ of five students, with a maximum action group of 20 students.
Please note:

• The British School New Delhi is a voluntary programmed.
• We have 20 seats in each activity, admissions will be on ‘first come – first serve’ basis.
• Please ensure that your child registers for her/his choice of activity in time.
• The fee per activity, per student for one term is Rs. 2000/- . This is non-refundable, as groups
   are formed keeping student numbers in mind. The  activities are delivered by external
   facilitators.

We have a skills-based prospectus as we trust that once a student has the right skills, s/he can learn the information and enter the world with a sturdier foundation and a broader attitude. As a result we offer each student the chance to participate in our student enhancement programmed. These range from after-school doings, arts centenaries, Battle of the Bands, a Model United Nations program me (MUN) to charity events, to name a few. We inspire students of all ages to take full advantage of it to help them grow life-long skills to set their basis in this Information Age. The Primary School has a modern automatic library which holds a central location, both in location and in the curriculum. Its complete collection of resources is available for use by all members of the school for study, personal, regeneration and reduction purposes.

The British School New Delhi Students from non-English speaking upbringings are encouraged to uphold literacy in their first language, which is reinforced by a growing group of books in 4 languages. The library has admission to a network of 20 wireless processers which are used for public admission searches, word-processing, graphics and material gathering.

The Information Skills Programme
The British School New Delhi library has a recognized Information Skills programmer designed to teach students how to access, use and connect information. The programmer is a range which is integrated into the curriculum and armored through all year levels. It is aimed at emerging confident, independent beginners for life.

Opening Times
The British School New Delhi Library is open between 7:30am to 8:00am; during first break from 10:00am to 10:30am; and 2:00pm to 3:30pm Monday-Friday on school working days.

Each class has a weekly copying session. Staff and students can also copy at first break (10:00am – 10:30am) or in the 30 minutes before and after the school day. During second disruption students may read, investigation and draw in the library.

The British School New Delhi Parents may visit the public library to read to their children between 2:00pm and 3:30pm Monday-Friday on school employed days.

Student Support Services

The British School New Delhi Student Support Services team of the Primary School works collaboratively with other team memberships, class teachers, professional teachers, teaching assistants and parentages to support learning and expressive needs of students.

The side works through a diversity of strategies together with the student to help happen their separate and unique needs helping them to improve and support their chances for learning.

The British School New Delhi Our Special Education Needs programmer (SEN), English as an Extra Language programmer (EAL), Therapy, Library services and Health facilities are all offered under the canopy of Student Support Services. The team associates help students through the use of a diversity of strategies working together to address each student’s single needs thereby helping them to learn their full possible and improve their chances for learning.

Our Support Facilities are designed to assist students both in handling curriculum requests and in contributing fully in school life.
