Special Education Needs (SEN)
The British School New Delhi Special Instructive Needs (SEN) Department is devoted to helping students with mild to reasonable learning problems.The British School New Delhi Students can enter the SEN program me at any time of the year or continue on it throughout their instructive career. Our admissions policy needs parents to state if their child or children have any singular learning needs. Apart from normal admission tests, the school also requires standardized valuations (psycho-educational reports) to assess the needs of a child and to see if s/he would benefit from the program me. The SEN section has a referral process in place to refer present students at any time of the year.
The British School New Delhi Students with learning problems are in normal classes for a greater part of the school day. In Key Stage 3, they may be reserved from one or two of the foreign languages to receive discrete support. In Key Stage 4 and 5, they may opt for fewer IGCSE and IB topics and their free time is used for individual support.
The British School New Delhi All students taking part in the SEN program me will have a sold Individual Education Plan (IEP) based on diagnostics. It is industrialized by the SEN Department in joint teamwork with teachers, parents and students, wherever suitable.
The IEP includes the student’s separate targets (communication, literacy, skill, behaviour, social skills), plans to achieve the board and criteria for assessment of progress.
The British School New Delhi Students taking IGCSE and IB exams are assumed inspection support contingent on their needs and subject to the endorsement of the examination board.
