The British International School In India

The British International School In India

The British School New Delhi was recognized in 1963 to provide a British teaching to British children in India though its doors have always been open to children from other states. The school is self-financing and is possessed by the British School Society, the association of which is all the parents of students in school. A Board of Governors, a popular of whose members are designated parents, directs the affairs of the school. Today the school registers many nationalities, though the biggest national groups are British and Indian.

The British School New Delhi Welcome through Year 9 follows the English National Curriculum, with suitable revisions to take into account its condition in New Delhi. Students in Year 10 and 11 have a extensive range of IGCSE/GCSE options to select from, and Year 12 and 13 make for GCE 'A' levels. Closely all students continue to university on completing Year 13.

The British School New Delhi inhabits an attractive six-acre site on the borders of the Diplomatic Enclave. Gardens and playing fields border the main building. Facilities include air-conditioned classrooms, well-equipped professional rooms for art, drama, music and computers. There are two public library, one for primary and one for the secondary school. A spacious science block houses four well-equipped workshops. A multi-purpose hall offers space for exercises, basketball and school makings and events. The British School New Delhi is currently informing its facilities. Phase I of the plan was completed in July 2002.
